Meet Our Coalition

IMG_2348.jpeg

Our members are the foundation of the London Food Coalition. With nearly 30 community organizations working side by side, each brings unique strengths, perspectives, and resources to a shared mission: advancing food prosperity across our city. Together, we form a collaborative network that collects and redistributes over one million pounds of surplus food each year—turning abundance into nourishment for thousands of Londoners.

It is through our members’ ongoing commitment, creativity, and care that we’re able to support local programs, strengthen neighbourhoods, and build a more sustainable and connected food system. Their collaboration makes this work possible—and their leadership continues to shape a healthier, more food-prosperous future for all.

London Food Coalition

Fresh Food Abundance

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: At the London Food Coalition, we begin by grounding ourselves in this place—Deshkan Ziibiing, the land along the Antler River, known today as London. We live and work upon the ancestral territories of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lunaapéewak, and Chonnonton Peoples, held up in the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Covenant, a treaty that reminds us that we share one bowl, one spoon, and the responsibility to care for all who rely on this place for nourishment. We are also bound by Treaty 6 (the London Township Treaty), which calls us into right relationship with the original peoples and with the land itself.
